Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Contractor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and project management, with expertise in various trades. As a General Contractor, you will oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of Habitat Homes construction projects, including resource allocation, communicating with subcontractors, and overseeing Habitat volunteers.
- Supervise subcontractors and volunteers to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Perform hands-on work as needed, including hardscape installation, tile laying, frame carpentry, flooring installation, glass installation, and caulking.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently when required for specific tasks.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members to provide updates on project status.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during the construction process and implement effective solutions.
Requirements
- A current General Contractor's License through mid- or year end 2026.
- Proven experience as a General Contractor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and heavy equipment relevant to construction tasks.
- Experience with hardscape projects, tile laying, frame carpentry, flooring installation, glass installation, and caulking is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year (open to negotiation)
